Customer Service, Retail and Operations Resume Examples

Customer-facing, restaurant, office and warehouse roles that highlight service quality, organization, safety and reliability.

Turning everyday duties into results

Many applicants for these jobs list the same duties, so the examples add volume and quality to each one: 60 to 75 calls a day with a 96% satisfaction score, 145 units picked per hour, sections of 5 to 7 tables or a CEO calendar of 40+ meetings a week. Name the systems you used, such as Zendesk, Toast POS or RF scanners, because postings often list them as requirements.

Reliability counts as much as skill. Mention shift availability when a job runs evenings, weekends or nights, and list safety or food handling certifications, such as forklift operation or a food handler card, where a manager will see them quickly. Office roles also value discretion: the receptionist mentions HIPAA privacy practices, and the executive assistant mentions confidential board and personnel work without giving details.

Choosing a template for a service or operations resume

All seven examples fit on one page. Six use single-column, ATS-friendly templates: ATS Modern (customer service), ATS Compact (receptionist), ATS Classic (warehouse worker and executive assistant) and Minimal (retail associate and restaurant server). The administrative assistant example uses Professional, which places section labels in a left margin column.
